dircproxy software package provides IRC proxy for people who use IRC from different workstations, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install dircproxy
dircproxy is installed in your system.
Make ensure the dircproxy package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep dircproxy *
You will get with dircproxy package name, version, architecture and description in a table
